A Flexi or Bendi forklift driver (also known as an
articulated
or pivot-steer
forklift operator) drives a specialized warehouse truck designed with a 90-degree swinging mast that bends in the middle.
Key Responsibilities
- Narrow-Aisle Stacking: Maneuvering through tight warehouse corridors to lift, store, and retrieve palletized goods at heights often exceeding 10 meters. [ 1, 2]
- Yard and Loading Operations: Unloading and loading delivery lorries and containers directly in the yard without needing to swap machines. [ 1, 2]
- Stock & WMS Management: Working alongside warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, pick stock, and fulfill orders. [ 1]
- Pre-Use Safety Checks: Inspecting the articulated joint, hydraulic systems, battery or fuel levels, and tires before every shift
