Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

Position Warehouse Supervisor

Location Leicester

Salary £20K plus bonus, 22 days holiday, rising with service

Ref IE 56189

A well respected logistics and distribution business with a significant presence in the fashion industry has an immediate opening for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their growing business on a full time, permanent basis at their Leicester distribution centre. This is a friendly and successful organisation to be part of that has seen year on year growth - a trend which is set to continue! Working Mon to Fri on a rotating 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm basis you will be a key member of the supervisory team.

Reporting directly into the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing your team of around 20 warehouse operatives in a very busy, fast paced pick and pack operation. It is essential that you have a demonstrable track record of man-management, are passionate about delivering results and approach your duties with energy and enthusiasm. Naturally you will be the type of person that motivates your team to go the extra mile and as this position is very hands-on, you will lead by example. The management of KPI data in terms of units per hour picked will fall under your remit and you will be consistently looking as ways to improve performance.

This is a high pressure, fast moving operation and would suit an ambitious, forward thinking and dynamic individual who has a real focus on the customer, who in this case will be the stores that your deliver into.

As man-management experience is essential for this role, you will be comfortable guiding and directing your team and you will have carried out appraisals, one to ones, and disciplinary as necessary previously (with the support from HR). You will have an ability to really understand your team and getting to know each of them will allow you to manage each of them against their skill sets in the most effective way possible.

This is a genuine chance to make a mark for yourself within the business and further develop your experience within a dynamic organisation!
