Warehouse Shift Manager (West Midlands)

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Manager to join a very well established and leading wholesaler of business consumables at their head office in the West Midlands. This is a truly exciting time to join the company as they continue to organically grow the business. You will be an integral part of their future expansion plans, and play a key role in the training and development of your team. This is a full time, permanent opportunity with very genuine career prospects. This is a Mon to Fri position working the PM shift on either 2pm - 10pm or 4pm to Midnight.

Reporting directly into the Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in the management and effective operational performance in the accurate and timely delivery of product to their wide ranging and diverse customer base. This will be achieved by efficient delegation and resource planning though your team of Supervisors and warehouse personnel. It is important that you can fully engage, motivate and direct your team as your success will be measured by delivery against KPI's and ultimate customer satisfaction. In addition, you will be systems and process driven and possess excellent IT skills. It is essential that you are used to a very busy pick and pack operation and have a proven track record of exceeding targets through team engagement.

The position would suit an ambitious, forward thinking and dynamic individual who has a real focus on the customer. A real drive and hunger to fulfil to your customer's expectations will be at the forefront of everything you do. As a natural leader, you will possess excellent communication skills, have a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy finding resolution to issues that you identify as impacting on achieving business goals and objectives. There is great scope to put your own mark in this role, and be recognised as a leader within the business.
