Job Description

Our Client is a charity, providing care, accommodation and support services for more than 18,000 older people throughout Britain. Their mission is to improve the quality of life of older people

As a Volunteer Co-ordinator your role will be to recruit, induct, train and line manage a group of volunteers for the Elderly.

Below is a brief description of tasks that are required to be under taken as a Volunteer Co-ordinator.

* To actively recruit volunteers interview and assess, obtain references

and carry out CRB checks

* To ensure that volunteer roles are meeting the needs of the service


* To be responsible for ensuring that volunteers are supervised and

supported by staff

* To work closely with activities co-ordinator and social care facilitator

to ensure a consistent approach towards volunteers.

* To develop working partnerships with a range of voluntary, statutory,

recreational and educational organisations

* There may be a requirement to travel to regional, Head Office or other

locations for the purpose of meetings or training relevant to this post

As a Volunteer Co-ordinator you will have Previous experience of managing people along with knowledge of the local communities. Below is a brief description of what is required

*Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

*Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks

*Good organisational & administrative skills

*Ability to promote and manage change

*Ability to work within a quality and customer focused service.

This is a permanent role Flexible hours to include occasional weekends and evenings. Commutable from Loughborough, Coventry, Stamford and surrounding areas.
