Transport Planning Manager (3 month Fixed Term Contract)

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport Planning Manager to join a leading pharmacy clinical homecare company at their site in Harlow, Essex.

The Transport Planning Manager will lead and manage the National Planning team based in Harlow to deliver proactive and continuous service improvement to the National Planning function. You will ensure patients receive a world class service that exceeds the expectations of the patients and the NHS. You will also deliver a high level of service across the UK service network to all stakeholders through competent and effective national distribution planning.

Reporting into the National Distribution Manager you will be responsible for the planning of 115 drivers and 105 vehicles operating out of 10 sites on a National footprint.

You will lead the team to ensure operational standards are maintained, including appearance and the management of breaks, ensuring people management plans; processes and systems are in place and appropriate procedures are followed.

The successful candidate will posses the following -

  • Experience in a Transport environment (planning qualification is essential).
  • Experience in Government Legislation on Working Time Directive.
  • Be technically sound, well versed in management practices/people skills and have the ability to meet deadlines and KPI's targets.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Good people management skills.
  • Is able to identify and correct failures in regulatory standards.
  • Awareness of GDP processes and practices.

You will work 37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5.30pm.

This role is for 3 months, with a daily pay rate of up to £350 (Ltd or Umbrella candidates can only apply).
