Transport First Line Manager (Maidstone)

Job Description

We're recruiting very high calibre logistics professionals to join a global market leader in the logistics industry in the capacity of Transport First Line Manager at their site in Maidstone.

As a Transport FLM you will be responsible for leading functional teams and optimising day to day performance, so that business targets are met or exceeded through outstanding people management skill.

You will plan team resources to achieve the operational requirements and organise and direct the team to achieve KPI targets in the transport operation to ensure a cost efficient and service focused department.

You will ensure that health and safety standards are maintained and adhered to as well as building and motivating a team including recruitment, team build and on-going team development. In this role you will organise and deliver training and guidance in line with colleague's requirements and also directly coach team members to improve their performance and manage under performance where necessary.

Key skills required:

  • High level of computer literacy, in particular ability to create and amend Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Varied and broad experience within a logistics environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have the flexibility to work various shifts.
  • Possess an International CPC (you will get £1,500 extra per year if certified)

Salary is £30k plus an extra £1,500 per year if possess an International CPC. It is a double-days shift pattern (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm) so our client is looking for flexibility across shifts.
