Transport Coordinator (Peterborough)

Job Description

Position Transport Coordinator (Peterborough)

Location Peterborough

Salary £Competitive

Ref IE 57149

A truly fantastic opportunity has arisen for a very high calibre, transport coordinator to join a hugely successful warehousing and distribution business in the Peterborough area on a full time permanent basis. This is a Mon to Fri role, working 9am to 5pm.

The company has experienced unprecedented growth over the last 24 months, and with further expansion plans, they require an aspiring and ambitious individual who is looking to further develop their career within the transport sector. This is a challenging role in a brand new department and will suit a highly process driven individual that can implement processes as well as develop new ones in conjunction with the Transport Manager. It is important that you possess at least two years' experience in a busy transport environment and possess 3PL/General Haulage experience. You will be adept at turning your hand to any element of the transport function (namely planning, driver management, debriefing, maintenance scheduling, transport administration etc…)

The role would suit someone that is perhaps currently a transport de-briefer and or transport planner that is looking for that next important career step up who is keen to make a real difference to the department and overall business success. There is genuine opportunity to grow and develop into higher transport functions as the fleet grows. The transport department is key to the company growth plans and people will be rewarded in time for their positive contribution both financially and their standing within the business. It is desirable that you have CPC (although the company will look to put you through this).

You will have a real hunger to prove your worth and make yourself an indispensable part of the business. You will be inquisitive, pro-active, use your initiative and have a strength of character to work in a fast paced, often pressured environment.

The culture within the Group is to "make things happen" from both customers' requirements, through to supporting the development of all staff.

For immediate consideration send your CV without delay!
