Transport Clerks/Planners /Supervisors/Manager

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport Operator to join a leading UK warehouse and distribution business in the Cambridgeshire area on a full time, permanent basis. This is an exciting time to join the company which is experiencing significant growth. Key for the client in consolidating their position in the market is to find the right talent that will support and shape their plans for further expansion and development.

You will join a friendly, busy transport team where you will be capable of juggling multiple priorities and play a key role in ensuring that routes are planned accurately and with optimum efficiency. You will demonstrate sound geographical knowledge and whilst CPC is an advantage it is not essential.

To be successful you will need to show the right attitude, work with a sense of urgency and accuracy and be passionate about delivering an exceptional customer service (you will naturally work to high professional standards) There will also be a strong administrative support function to the transport team, so exceptional organisational skills will be required in addition to debriefing, pre-briefing and query resolution.

The role would suit a flexible, hands-on individual who has similar experience within the logistics sector who is used to working under pressure, to targets/KPI's with critical deadlines. You will naturally enjoy taking responsibility for any continuous improvement initiatives that you identify as having a positive impact on the department.

Salary is £25k-£30k plus benefits. The role is Monday to Friday with alternating 6am-4pm and 9am-7pm shift patterns, with one Saturday in every four required.

It is essential that you have your own transport with a full UK driving license and the ability to travel to work.

My client is looking to move quickly with the recruitment of this opportunity so if you're immediately available send your CV without delay!
