Position Transport Administration Clerk

A hugely successful leading supply chain and distribution business has an immediate opening for an exceptional transport administration clerk to join the business in Crick, Northamptonshire on a full time permanent basis. Working Mon to Fri from 2pm to 10pm, the company will provide full training in a very friendly, hard working environment from where you can develop your career.
Reporting directly into the Account Manager you will provide essential support to the team covering the following areas: liaison with the team of drivers, inputting information from driver return runs into the debrief document in Excel, consignment processing, proof of delivery administration, scanning documentation, providing back up paperwork for invoices, answering the telephone, dealing with queries, building effective relationships with drivers and providing excellent levels of customer service.
The role would suit a highly pro-active individual who has worked in a busy transport office previously and who understands the pressures that this type of role can bring. It is essential that you have superb attention to detail, possess excellent communication and organisational skills and can demonstrate flexibility with a can-do attitude. An ability to work to deadline, and prioritise your work is essential. A certain strength of character will be required not only in dealing with drivers but also to manage a busy workload. Proficiency with Word and Excel will be required as will a team focused work ethic to achieve departmental standards. Continuous improvement will come naturally to you and you will enjoy identifying areas that can be made more efficient.
