Trainee Line Leader - Markham Vale

Our client is an international food manufacturer that specialises in production, packing and distribution of top brand sweets and chocolate products. With a site in Markham Vale and operations all over the UK they are now one of the largest Co Pack companies and in the past few years have seen massive growth.

As a Trainee Line Leader based at their Markham Vale site you will work as part of a close team to enable the processing, sorting, packing and shipping of various products inline with our clients works plans.You will be overseeing all of the staff and making sure they are hitting targets. Also you will need to be prepared to complete general warehouse duties along with assisting the production on the line.

Shift times:

Rotating 5.45am - 22.00pm and 13.45pm - 22.00pm Day shift - Monday till Friday

On a day to day basis duties will include:

  • Sorting amounts of products and supplying lines
  • Keeping machines supplied with packaging materials and labels
  • Quality checking for broken packaging or missing items on the production line
  • Packing, stacking and wrapping items
  • Loading goods for despatch
  • Keeping records up to date
  • Moving stock from locations
  • Maintaining a clean work station
  • Monitoring staff
  • Making sure targets are hit
  • Helping the Supervisors in managing staff
  • Training new staff

This is a versatile position which will demand a reasonable level of physical fitness, accuracy and attention to detail. You will need to be able to sort products quickly. Previous experience in a warehouse, packing, quality control or food production operation is not required although would be useful.

This is a Trainee Line Leader job that offers various ranges of duties and therefore it welcomes all kinds of manual work experience. It will keep you occupied and on your feet from start to finish.

Our role offers an immediate start for candidates once you pass an interview, induction and drugs / alcohol test.
