Traffic Clerk (Middlesex)

Job Description

My client is urgently looking for an experienced Traffic Clerk or Customer Service Advisor to join a fast moving parcel delivery company. This is a great time to join the organisation in Middlesex as they are currently evolving their team and looking for those who can bring experience but also enthusiasm to the role. This is a key time to join the organisation as they are looking at evolving their site further by bringing in new employees who can become the future of the company and continue their success.

Reporting to the Depot Manager, you will be involved in the day to day administration of a busy yet vibrant Traffic Office. You will be required to undertake driver debrief, and maintain Traffic Office records and perform daily housekeeping.

My client values their customers and so it is essential to find a candidate who is passionate about customer service and has evidence of this. All training for the role will be provided.

Main duties include:

  • Booking in duties
  • Driver Debrief
  • General telephone enquiries
  • Collection allocation
  • OPD1 checks
  • Data input

To be successful in this role you will need relevant Traffic Office or strong customer service experience along with:

  • Experience in Customer Service is key
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • A highly organised approach
  • Strong teambuilding and leadership skills
  • A positive approach to managing and motivating people
  • Ability to make the right decisions under pressure
  • The flexibility to "go the extra mile"

Principal hours of work will be:

45hrs per week between 7am-5pm with 1 hour for lunch (however they are very flexible with shifts)
