Job Description

Barker Ross Health & Social Care are currently recruiting for a number of Support Workers join a company who specialise in providing care and support to young adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism, Our client has homes based in Kettering and Rushden.

As a Support Worker you will be providing care and support to young adults who have Learning Disabilities and Autism, you will be providing support for their day to day lives.

The list of tasks which you will be undertaking is extensive, but below is a brief over view:

Taking part in daily activities such as: Preparing meals, accessing communities in the local community such as: Swimming, Trips to the cinema, shopping.

Conducting and participating in Team and resident's meetings.

Making sure an excellent standard of person centred care is being delivered.

Making sure that company Policies and Procedures are being followed at all times

Liaising with external stake holders, this includes: Social Worker's, GP's and Families.

The Ideal person for the Support Worker would be:

Experienced in Caring for People who display challenging behaviours

Completed QCF/ Level 3 in Health & Social care is preferred but not essential

Car Driver with access to own car is preferred but not essential

Someone who wants to make a real difference to someone's life
