A hugely successful manufacturing and distribution business has a fantastic opportunity for a Stock Control Operative to join the business on a full time, permanent basis at their offices in North West Leicestershire. Working within the busy stock control department, you will be responsible for maintaining stock levels to agreed criteria, placing orders for packaging materials, raising purchase orders, maintaining stationary stock levels, booking in deliveries from the group and other suppliers, receiving, sorting, matching invoices/credit notes from both external and internal suppliers, checking returns notes and making necessary stock adjustments, assisting in all weekly rolling stock counts, picking, packing and despatching spare parts , brochures and samples, maintaining accurate and clear documentation and implementing 5s principles in your area.
As an individual it is essential that you demonstrate a very flexible approach to your work, as there will be a requirement to assist in the warehouse as and when work loads fluctuate, so someone who is happy to get stuck into a variety of duties both office based and in the warehouse will be required. Of course you will possess strong organisational skills, great communication skills and operate with a customer first mentality. You will be professional, have a can-do attitude and work efficiently with a cost conscious focus.
It would be an advantage if you are IT literate and ideally possess some knowledge of SAP, but your attitude, and attention to detail will be the key factors in your success.
