Senior Project Manager - Rail London permanent

Our client is a leading civil engineering and construction company that operates in the

Rail infrastructure, marine, energy, water and environmental infrastructure, highways, airport infrastructure, commercial, industrial and education construction sectors.

Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager to -

To take full responsibility for all production functions on contracts allocated by the Contracts Manager, including all resourcing of the construction, planning and co-ordination, all financial management required until the completion of the maintenance and the feedback information meeting.

Key Accountabilities

Agree project targets with the Contracts Manager, and ensure progress is measured regularly and feedback provided through the Company reporting procedures.

Manage and support the production of a fully resourced Construction programme established from the tender programme and ensure -

Design, procurement and construction phases are clearly defined with a critical path and milestones Ensure that Commercial team are fully involved in the plan and requirements

Establish clear areas of responsibility for delivery of the plan

Enrol the Clients representative in the project plan and strategy.

Monitor progress and update the programme as required by the Contract by:

Organising regular update meeting with project team. Update overall strategy if required and give direction on key dates, critical path and areas of concern.

Discuss the implications of revisions to the programme with the Client and submit revised programmes as necessary.

Provide regular formal updates to the Contracts Manager.

Ensure accurate records are maintained to manage the change process and variations.

Develop, Manage and Maintain the Site Management Plan

Arrange regular update meetings with the project team to review progress and capture change

Agree with the team members the allocation of responsibilities to achieve the plan, and communicate clearly to all involved.

Carry out audits against the plan to ensure compliance and revise as required.
