Job Description

  1. Manage the delivery of outstanding services that meet all CQC regulatory requirements including health and safety

  • Accountable as per the requirements of a Registered Manager for the safe and effective delivery of all services
  • Manage the delivery of services to ensure compliance with CQC Standards, contractual expectations and obligations
  • Monitor that all health and safety systems are implemented and followed
  • Ensure that all staff are aware of the CQC Standards and understand how to achieve/exceed them
  • Manage and lead on innovate recruitment processes to ensure services are resourced to meet needs
  • Implement a robust on call system to support the service
  • Manage and develop a culture that recognises and responds to safeguarding issues

  1. Lead and manage the delivery of services to empower people and embrace positive risk taking in line with MCA and best interests to enable aspirational outcomes to be achieved

  • Manage the implementation of processes to meet best interest procedures
  • Lead a culture that supports appropriate risk taking to achieve aspirations
  • Lead and embed outcome focussed service delivery
  • Evidence through examples how individuals outcomes have been met
  • Evidence and demonstrate how services are delivered in the best interest of the people we support
  • Engage people where possible with the recruitment of the people that will support them

  1. Manage data collection to evidence and report on compliance and contractual requirements

  • Develop and implement systems to ensure information is available to monitor support planning
  • Ensure all reports required for the Operations Manager are provided in a timely manner
  • Ensure systems and mechanisms are in place to assess risk in accordance with compliance
  • Work in conjunction with other departments as required to achieve operational goals
  • Ensure lessons are learnt from Complaints and actions delivered within agreed timescales
  • Record and report on all medication errors
  • Ensure all Safeguarding and accidents and incidents are reports appropriately
  • Ensure appropriate systems are in place to monitor and improve performance

  1. Manage the service to ensure financial targets are achieved

  • Manage the financial accounts through effective monitoring of the service on a monthly basis
  • Maximise income generation
  • Implement appropriate action plans to improve financial viability of any under performing services
  • Manage resources effective to ensure financial targets are met
  • Provide accurate information for the full invoicing of all services delivered
  • Review the budget on a monthly basis and have appropriate plans in place

  1. Manage the performance of the teams and recruit to achieve targets to support career progression and resource the services appropriately

  • Manage performance against set targets for the team
  • Lead, Manage and support the performance of the team, aligned to Group and emh care and support standards and practices
  • Ensure that all supervisions, appraisals and team meetings are conducted to quality and frequency standards, including but not limited to absence, holiday and training
  • Manage and monitor that appropriate resourcing is in place to meet current and future demands
  • Monitor that training needs for the team are met
  • Ensure succession planning for the team
  • Coach and develop the team to maximise their performance and potential to deliver the best outcomes
  • Lead the implementation of recognition and consequence management for the team
  • Monitor and out of hours duty system for the services ensuring rotas are covered at all times
  • Develop flexible rostering systems to meet the agreed needs of customers
  • Use a variety of mechanisms to ensure that the team are aware of and utilise Policies and Procedures
