Job Description

We currently have Registered Residential Manager vacancies at some of our residential children's homes.

Please note that you must be 22 years old or above to apply & have a valid driving licence.

Our client is looking for a Registered Manager who knows how to make a house, a home. This home will be a therapeutic community specialising in responding to and understanding harmful behaviours.

We have an exciting opportunity coming up for an enthusiastic and determined Registered Manager for one of their children's homes.

This opportunity will see you leading your own team of up to fifteen staff members. With your guidance, the team will ensure that the children living within the home have the very best care, great role models and a place to call home.

When we say home, we really mean it. We go above and beyond for our children, making sure that they have an experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood. From creating memory books, to going on holidays, having barbeques in the garden and decorating the children's bedrooms, we do everything we can to provide an atmosphere, so the children know we truly care.

As a Registered Manager, not only is your duty of care to our children, but also to the team of adults working within the home. We understand that sometimes working in a children's home can be tough; being able to inspire, communicate, stay calm under pressure and stay positive when plans get derailed is key in ensuring your team is working effectively.

Our client will supply excellent support and professional supervision as well as regular training opportunities. This includes a bespoke training programme for Registered Managers to progress into the Regional Operations Manager posts.

As a manager in a children's home, you will need to demonstrate a high level of empathy whilst also guaranteeing our level of care is maintained at the very best standard.

Our client has an excellent reputation for providing high quality and tailored packages of care to young people - we look for those who also hold this standard, therefore we ask that you;

Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children

Have at least one year in a role supervising and managing staff

Hold a GOOD or OUTSTANDING grade within your recent Ofsted Inspections
