Job Description

Barker Ross Health & Social Care are currently recruiting for a Registered Manager for 60 Bedded nursing Home based in the Heart of Nottingham.

My client is a well established Nursing Home provider, they currently have a number of purpose built homes across the East Midlands.

The Registered Manager will take over the running of an established home with an established staff team and ensure the homes continued compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, and the highest standard of person centered care is delivered.

The Registered Manager in Nottingham must have experience of managing within a nursing home, showing strong leadership skills and training and developing staff.

These are just a few of duties you will be need to undertake as the Registered Manager:

Ensure that they continually seek to improve their performance, skills and knowledge, staying up to date with nursing and managerial skills.

To ensure individual care plans for residents are regularly assessed, continually assessing and evaluating to ensure that the agreed outcomes are met.

To ensure that all staff maintain written and electronic care records in accordance with record keeping standards.

To ensure that all medications, including controlled drugs are ordered, stored, administered and disposed of in accordance with policy and procedure, NMC and CQC guidance on drug administration

To take an active role in the senior management team of the home, working positively with other senior staff who may be involved in managing other parts of the homes services on a day to day basis.

The ideal candidate for the Registered Manager position will be:

A Registered Nurse, RGN/ RMN/ RNLD with a Valid NMC Pin Number.
Managerial experience in Nursing Home environment
Experienced in managing and leading a staff team
Have proven leadership skills
A strong driver of delivering excellent person centered care
Ideally someone based in Nottingham or someone who is commutable to Nottingham.
Ideally someone who has completed a management qualification either NVQ Level 4 or QCF Level 5 in Social Care Management.
