Job Description

Quantity Surveyor (£38,000 to £46,000 depending on experience) Derby Based


You will be working for a large Social Housing organisation giving you a fantastic opportunity to enhance your career and CV.


You will be responsible for the works programmes including reactive and maintenance, planned reinvestment works and cyclical maintenance.

You will provide a measurement of works and agreement of same with client and subcontractors.

You will be responsible for pricing client enquiries, including drawing on your specialist/supply chain support to drive value.

You will be involved in producing monthly cost and value reports, and then reviewing the results with operational teams.

Provide technical and commercial advice to maximise value from all term contracts and technical standards Key experience and qualification required.


You must have previous experience in a quantity Surveying role in a commercial environment and be able to build and sustain working relationships with key stakeholders

You will have excellent planning, budgeting, organising and prioritisation skills.

You will have experience of keeping sound business records.

You must have experience of managing staff in a repairs related environment.

You will need to have strong report writing skills, with a good standard of English and be able to interpret financial information.

You must have previous experience of S.O.R Contracts

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent with a qualification in a relevant field such as Surveying or architecture
