Quality Process Manager

PURPOSE:
Take the lead authority and decision making in matters of Quality Assurance within the
organisation. Responsible for the daily management of the quality department to ensure that
the needs of the business are met, both in terms of operational product and process quality.
Directly support the Plant Director and manage all other Quality Assurance colleagues in any required day to day quality activities, so ensuring customer satisfaction and that all matters relevant to the department are sufficiently dealt with to provide a professional and efficient service to both internal and external customers.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

· Interface with Automotive Customers including customer satisfaction
· Customer visits representing the company on quality related matters
· Communication, both verbal and written
· Prioritising support required throughout the QA department
· Problem Solving including internal and external non-conformances
· Ensuring that the processes needed for the quality management system are continually
· implemented and maintained and reviewed as necessary
· Ensuring that customer requirements are acknowledged and understood throughout the
organisation
· Continued day to day support of the Quality Team of all matters relevant to the Department to ensure professional and efficient service to both internal and external customers
· Continuous Improvement
· Conformance with the Company Quality Policy and IATF 16949 / ISO 9001
· Conformance with the Company Health and Safety Policy and OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001
· Conformance with the Company Environmental Policy and ISO 14001


Interface with Automotive Customers
· Conformance with the Company Environmental Policy and ISO 14001
· Preparing for and interfacing with automotive customers to provide support, practical advice and solve any problems in a timely manner.
· Understanding automotive customers' expectations and ensure internal teams fully understand as well.
· Responding, communicating and liaising with automotive customers in a timely and effective
manner. This shall include visits to customer's sites at short notice as necessary.
· Define and communicate automotive customer's requirements to cross functional teams clearly both verbally and written.
· Provide data analysis to understand issues and prioritise actions
· Drive Key performance Indicator Improvements
· Utilise appropriate problem solving techniques such as 8D, 5Y, cause and effect, design of
experiments etc. and respond in a timeframe and method expected by the customer as appropriate to customer specific requirements and the necessary updating of associated documents such as PFMEA and Control Plan.
· Reduce external customer concerns month on month
· Ensure departmental statistical data analysis is correct and updated timely and regularly including quality performance summary, complaint data and KPI performance
· Calibration system and MSA are maintained
· Support all QA personnel in ensuring that all customer requirements are communicated and
understood to and throughout all organisational departments to ensure customer satisfaction

Continued day to day management and support of the Quality Team
· Direct all other Quality Assurance colleagues in any required day to day quality activities, so
ensuring customer satisfaction and that all matters relevant to the department are sufficiently dealt with to provide a professional and efficient service to both internal and external customers.
· Take the lead authority and decision making within the department
· Have a working knowledge and be able to implement Kaizen, 5 'S', Lean practices
· Effective in improving the organisations quality business systems i.e. IATF 16949 keeping up-to date with current standards and/or improving our systems
· Assisting and contributing to the input that the Quality Team makes to the company as an entirety
· Work with the CI team and other internal teams including production, engineering, sales and
logistics
· Deliver at least 1 CI project per annum as part of performance review process

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Ideally you will possess an engineering HNC/HND/Degree qualification or equivalent experience and or CIQA qualifications.
Previous Automotive industry experience is essential.
A full working knowledge and understanding of APQP, FMEA, MSA, Control Plans and SPC is needed. Supervisory experience is required.

HOURS OF WORK:
8.30am - 5.00pm, Monday - Thursday, 8.30am - 4.00pm Friday, ½ hr lunch
