A great opportunity has a risen for a Quality Manager based in the North Nottinghamshire area
You will have the opportunity to work for one of the UK's largest Modular Building Company's, who are a leading force in the offsite modular building industry.
They have the production capability and expertise to deliver high quality and cost effective buildings that meet the current market needs, operating in the Commercial, Hotel, Retail, Education, Student Accommodation and MOD sectors
You will be working on specialist Off-site design and build projects with the value of up to £8m, undertaking works as a specialist design and build contractor.
You will implement quality assurance and lean practises across the manufacturing and onsite operations, establish and maintain a consistent quality management system and test inspection process.
You will identify, design, analyse and integrate processes to optimise manufacturing and support the onsite teams when managing these changes. Focus improvement programmes on kaizen using lean practices.
Using lean processes identify and make physical changes to manufacturing, in conjunction with the Group Production Manager with greater efficiencies and remove waste from the process.
Train and support staff in the changes as well as training in lean manufacturing principles and kaizen facilitation. Ensure training is to all levels of staff including senior management.
You must be able to maintain a consistent quality management system whilst developing a strategy for lean with the aim of improving overall quality and performance, and reducing waste.
- Be able to develop close working relationships at all levels
- Must have vast knowledge of Lean Kaizen strategy
- Be able to analyse, evaluate and summarise outcomes of continuous improvement efforts
- Have worked in the modular build sector
- Be able to monitor and report on sub-contractor performance
