Job Description

Barker Ross are currently looking to recruit a Purchasing Administrator to join one of our well known clients based in Horsham.

The position is for around 2-3 months with potential of extending for the right candidate.

The role of a Purchasing Administrator will involve the following:

  • Generate outstanding order lists, liaise with suppliers and progress/ chase where necessary.
  • Process Stock purchase requisitions in a timely and accurate fashion on the SAP ECC order system
  • Communicate with internal customers progress on their orders on a daily, weekly basis.
  • Maintain purchasing filing systems.
  • Process project orders on the SAP SRM PO system.
  • Process order receipts onto the both ECC & SRM purchasing system.
  • Communication of orders to suppliers via telephone e-mail.
  • Check prices and chase supplier order confirmations.
  • Carry out goods receipting of orders received offsite when correct approval received
  • Create new SAP part numbers, if permission given
  • Liaise with AP ensuring a smooth procure to pay process

And any other relevant duties required.

Details:

Pay Rate: Between £8 - £9.89 per hour

Duration: 2-3 Months

Location: Horsham, RH12 4AL

Potential start: 13/3/2017 to 31/5/2017

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08.30 - 17.00, Total of 37.5 hours

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5 GCSE passes at grade C or higher inc Maths & English
  • Computer literate, having experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Mail & Google sheets.
  • Preferable to have experience of manufacturing, purchasing and accounting systems.

Personal Competencies

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always communicating clearly with colleagues.
  • To complete purchasing tasks accurately and quickly, to be flexible in response to changing requirements.
  • To demonstrate a high standard of personal appearance.

The candidates does not need SAP experience as this is something that the client are willing to teach the right candidate upon starting with them.
