Our client is a global technology and product leader in the heavy engineering sector.
Due to continued success they are now looking to recruit a permanent Project Engineer for their Sheffield site.
The Project Engineer role will include evaluating, defining and implementing engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the agreed quality. You will investigate and evaluate technical options and develop solutions whilst managing quality processes, issues and risk. You will also oversee the procurement process to ensure that enquiries, tenders and contracts are managed. Planning and professional engineering support will also be part of this challenging role.
The ideal Project Engineer will ideally have a degree in a mechanical or electrical discipline or equivalent experience, a relevant project management qualification, health & safety qualification, ideally working towards Chartered Engineer status, project management experience gained within a heavy engineering environment and be a strong communicator with an ability to build effective relationships, and a strong problem solver that can identify root cause and achieve solutions to challenges.
Benefits for the Project Engineer role include:
£35,000 to £45,000 per annum dependant upon experience
