Newly Qualified Social worker - Hull

Duty & Assessment

Our client is looking for a driven and motivated Newly Qualified social worker to make a positive contribution to a team that offers support to social workers in their team

This is an opportunity to provide a professional social work service and achieve good outcomes for service users, their families and carers.

The role will cover:

  • Section 47 enquiries
  • Initial assessments
  • Core assessments
  • Providing information and advice
  • Sign-posting
  • Follow up calls on new clients
  • Completing home visits

You must hold a social work qualification (BA / MA Social Work / DipSW or equivalent), and hold current HCPC registration.

Working within the children and families team to undertake statutory work. You will also be conducting preventative and therapeutic work with families.


The team covers the authority, and are made up of both qualified and unqualified workers.

Support provided by Deputy Team Managers who offer regular supervision and mentoring support.

Essential Requirement:

You must hold a social work qualification (BA / MA Social Work / DipSW or equivalent), and hold current HCPC registration.

Use of computer essential and knowledge of Care 1st system advantageous.

You must have experience of working in a similar role.
