Maintenance Trades supervisors required in East Midlands, Housing association - £18-£20 per hour limited - potential for permanent roles for right candidates - excellent opportunities with large organisation - 3 month initial minimum contract.
You will have a great opportunity on an initial 3 month temporary assignment , to work with a large housing association in the East Midlands area. You will work within an organisation on the repairs team, covering voids, planned or reactive maintenance.
You will be based East midlands area - You will co-ordinate and manage the team of trades operatives in either planned or responsive repairs trades teams, you will be responsible for the delivery of a quick responsive and quality service with an aim to get it right first time. Your role will rely upon an extensive team management experience and a good experience within the trades sector of work.
Your role will be to supervise and co-ordinate the trades teams for the housing association, working with the operation managers you will ensure the trades teams are supervised and act as team leader for the staff, manage the performance of the team and keeping effective and up to date records of all works carried out.
Your key remit will be to monitor and co-ordinate the planned or reactive maintenance jobs from start to finish, including pre and post work inspections. You will be responsible for multi-site working and will require a driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Working hours will be 35 hours per week.
You will be an experienced supervisor, scheduler or co-ordinator of works in a social housing role. You will have experience of working on the tools and seeing works progress from start to finish and you will have a relevant trade qualification. You will have experience of working within the regulations relating to health and safety in particular in regards to the CDM regulations. This is a customer facing role and therefore you will be customer focused and professional manner. You will be a positive and forward thinking individual capable of working within a team and leading by example.
You will have relevant experience in planned and reactive maintenance - these roles will be specific to each area therefore specialist knowledge and experience in either planned maintenance supervisory work or Reactive maintenance supervisory experience will be necessary.
