One of the leading providers of Food Supply Chain Solutions (3PL) has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Sales Manager in the Greater Manchester area on a full time, permanent basis.
You will deliver profitable new business in line with organisational strategic goals, identifying business opportunities, building key customer relationships, negotiating and closing business deals and maintaining extensive knowledge of market conditions.
You will apply business acumen to filter unsuitable business and qualify best leads from the pipeline and also define project approach, developing tailored proposals that speak to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
As an individual you will be from a background of the FMCG/Food Supply Chain. You will possess a proven track record, strong sales and persuasion skills with ability to influence to a senior management level and also be an entrepreneurial thinker with a strong drive to succeed. You will have a high degree of business acumen with ability to interrogate commercial propositions.
You will be a strong team player, a strong networker and a relationship builder who has excellent communication skills and a track record of success in the production of external tender responses. Excellent organisation skills are essential and you will be IT literate and have experience of SAP CRM.
You will meet with client's on a periodic basis to review accounts. These meetings may be held at the client's premises so flexibility is required. A Full UK Driving License is absolutely essential.

Salary for this opportunity is negotiable, dependant on experience. The role is working Monday-Friday 08.00-17.00. The package is likely to include a company car, pension, laptop, phone and 28 days holiday.
