A world-class logistics and distribution business has a great opportunity for a high calibre, knowledgeable Project Manager to join the business in Northamptonshire. The role however, will be a national one, so flexibility to travel to other locations will be required.

It is essential that you have a thorough operational understanding of the distribution and warehousing sector, coupled with finely tuned Project Management expertise. The breadth of this opportunity is wide and varied and will provide daily challenges where no two days are the same.

As a Project Manager and Prince 2 practitioner, you will have a proven track record of managing multiple and successful projects in key sectors of the logistics industry with at least 3-5 years in warehousing logistics. Such projects may include warehouse migrations, contract transfers, warehouse restructuring, new contract implementations and business wins, managing implementation budgets and strategic change with expertise at presenting project methodology to customers. You will fully appreciate all aspects of risk management and be capable of mitigating such risks. In addition you will provide reports and visibility of all project activity to the senior management teams and effectively cascade this information throughout the business. You will complete audits on active projects and put into place corrective actions to ensure success at go live. Again, such projects may include internal projects including operational improvements and recoveries, site relocations, stock transfers and contract and site closures.

Due to the nature of this Project Management role, attention to detail is paramount, coupled with good commercial sense, excellent communication skills and computer literacy. As you will be client facing, a confident, personable nature with conviction to deliver will be essential.
