A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics Branch Manager to join a hugely successful specialist cash management distribution business that operates across business, retail, public and financial sectors, at their Birmingham site on a full time, permanent basis.

This is a key role for the organisation as you will have full operational and commercial responsibility, accountable for financial performance, the production of branch budgets and financial forecasts, customer SLA's and performance management of your staff to ensure high levels of productivity are maintained. You will have a real focus on delivering and exceeding customer expectations, with an ability to build strong, professional business relationships. You will need to demonstrate at least two years previous experience of having full site responsibility within a logistics environment.

You will hold your CPC, be fully conversant with transport regulations, be confident in managing a staff of over 100 and 50 plus vehicles, have experience of working in a uninonised environemnt and be proficient in change management. You will have shown an ability to take a step back and operrate strategically and relish the chance to have total autonomy of your business unit. This is not a 9-5 job.

In addition, you will liaise closely with other Branch Managers within the business, share best practice, produce MI reports of branch performance, monitor competitor activity and ensure that the fleet of vehicles and its associated administration is maintained.

Key to your success however will be your ability to man-manage. You will be a natural people person yet firm but fair with demonstrable leadership skills and a high degree of professionalism. A certain strength of character will be required (to praise on a job well done, and also to highlight areas that need improvement) But it will be your responsibility to ensure your team feels valued, that their contribution is recognised and rewarded as well as carry out appraisals, one to one's and any grievance and disciplinary.

The client is looking for an individual that can deliver the above with a great deal of personal drive and passion - someone who has a willingness to succeed and wants to make a difference.

This is a genuinely exciting business of which to be part - for immediate consideration send your CV without delay!
