A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Logistics & Warehouse Distribution Manager to join a wholesale and food distribution service. This is a truly exciting time to join the organisation in Nottingham as they continue their unprecedented growth.
As the Logistics and Warehouse Distribution Manager you will be accountable for the storage and distribution of goods. You will also ensure that we adhere and meet all warehouse accreditation and transport regulations. The successful candidate must have experience in a Logistics & Warehouse distribution within a senior management role, ideally foodservice.
In this role you will ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. You will also be responsible for transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods. Understanding the whole supply chain is important so that you can coordinate it effectively and liaise with suppliers of raw materials, manufacturers, retailers and consumers.
You will have experience with working in a fast moving business and environment and be able to take pressure whilst having an excellent understanding of good customer service and will take ownership of issues/complaints with customers and staff to manage the appropriate resolutions, formally and informally.
You will be pro-active and able to manage their time effectively, in a calm manner, in a highly pressurised and demanding environment. You will possess excellent people management skills, be capable of communicating effectively with company Directors, your managers and team and work closely with other internal customers to ensure the effective operation of the warehouse function.
As an individual you will have a dynamic nature and be very hands-on whilst being loyal and committed to the role and Company a logical and systematic approach to work. The successful candidate will have commercial awareness and numeracy skills and some degree of IT literacy and the ability to handle electronic data. Negotiation and analytical qualities are also sought.
Salary for this opportunity is c£40k plus benefits. You will work a 45 hour week, working Monday to Friday. Additional hours including weekends will be required to meet the needs of the business and the role.
