Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Logistics & Projects Specialist to join a global market leader at their outsourced distribution centre in Northamptonshire. This is a great opportunity for an individual who has a wide breadth of knowledge covering logistics, supply chain and project management who is looking to use their experience, gained within a warehousing, transport and distribution environment, and develop their career in a new direction.

The role is challenging yet varied and will provide exposure to the management of a number of key stakeholder relationships to drive improvements across warehousing, transport, operations, suppliers, customers and the sales team. In addition, through the support that you provide to the logistics business, you will handle reactive demand in a busy environment to carry out demand analysis and value stream mapping and the identification and implementation of improvements in the logistics processes.

There will also be a large element of operational project related work, and you will be involved in planning, participating in and managing projects of various sizes from small local projects to large global projects, project implementation, managing project timelines, deliverables and resource allocation. In addition, you will be passionate about continuous improvement, operate with a lean mentality and possess good analytical and IT skills.

Ideally you will be educated to degree level in business management, supply chain or a related discipline and have experience of LEAN principles, although relevant, proven experience is essential.
