We are working with an established, local manufacturer who is seeking to recruit an experienced IT Help Desk Technician to join them on a permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to support the business with a variety of issues including equipment support and troubleshooting.
£24,000 to £27,000 per annum
Provide equipment support (Workstations, Laptops, Printers, Tablets etc.)
Remote field service support to employees
Monitor equipment inventory and order stock as needed
Execute Incident, Change and Root Cause ITIL processes
Work closely with system architect and information security teams in designing and deployment of secure solutions
Ensure the compliance of all new infrastructure services within agreed standards
Our ideal candidate
Previous experience in a similar IT Help Desk Level 2 type role is essential
Degree educated or technical certifications is desirable but not essential
Working knowledge of Oracle R12 application systems preferred
Knowledge of software and/or processes of security, databases, internet etc.
Strong problem solving skills and decision making ability
Confident enough to succeed in a very autonomous role
Full UK driving licence is preferred as travel to other sites may be a possibility
