Health, Safety, Compliance and Facilities Manager (Lancaster)

Job Description

An expert in logistics in the UK is looking for an experienced Health, Safety, Compliance and Facilities Manager to join them to take part in their growth and success on a permanent basis at their site in Lancaster.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the facilities management of all depots, sub depots and reload sites across the Company's operations and to ensure compliance to agreed standards e.g. DTAS, CIP, health & safety, risk management, security and environment.

You will work closely with the operational management team to audit all depots, sub depots and reload sites as per the audit calendar to an agreed standard and to ensure that all rectification works are carried out within 28 days of the audit.

You will monitor and continually strive to improve Health & Safety performance, regularly review and develop the Group's Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure they are relevant to, and inclusive of, the hazards facing the business.

As an individual you will build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will listen to understand and allow team members to contribute to the best of their ability whilst encouraging and demonstrating creative thinking, putting into practice new approaches that improve performance. You will help others to understand and cope with change. You will assess and make decisions that take account of both short-term and long-term implications. The successful candidate will be solution orientated to produce and manage implementation plans, identifying the tasks, outcomes and resources required to achieve overall objectives.

In this role you will also be required to travel to other sites a couple of times per week, a pool car will be provided by the business.

Salary for this opportunity is c£35k. You will ideally have previous experience within food service, with experience with milk related products providing a significant advantage though is not essential.
