Job Description

Health and Safety Manager, Coventry, £32,000, 28 days holiday, Bonus Scheme, Free city centre parking and gym access.


You will have a fantastic opportunity to work with a student accommodation provider in the Coventry area as a heath and safety manager.

You will work with an organisation with many years experience in the student accommodation industry with a hotel room ethos when providing a quality service for their clients/students.

You will be predominantly based in Coventry but with travel to new sites for new accommodation - this role is a construction based role.

Job Role

You will be a health and safety manager/co-ordinator currently with a proven background in this area. You will be responsible for the construction side of the organisations projects.

You will be working on extra sites of student accommodation in construction phase and ensure that the sites are up to the legal requirement and regulation in line with current policy.

your areas of focus will be (not exclusive):

  • Health and safety issue management
  • Waste control
  • Dealing with CDM (2007 & 2015) requirements
  • Providing expert consulting and advice
  • Risk assessment
  • Policy and procedure work
  • sub-contract compliance

These requirements are the minimum level - you will be willing and capable of taking your career to the next level in these exciting times within this organisation.


You will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role in the construction sector, You will have NEBOSH qualification.

You will be capable of specialising in waste management on development sites for saving purposes, a knowledge of fire safety and be fully IT literate.

You must have a good work ethic and an ability to organise your workload efficiently and operate in a professional manner with exceptional communication skills.
