A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Manager to join a world-class 3PL and distribution business on a full-time, permanent basis in Naas, Ireland. This is a truly exciting time to join the company, recognised as one of the top 10 global logistics providers, as they continue to successfully expand their portfolio of clients.
You will assume full financial and operational responsibility for this site, and through the effective management of your team, you will ensure delivery against critical KPI's for a major client. As General Manager you will be accountable for everything on site including the P&L, operations, commercials, people and the organic growth of the client account.
This will be realised through highly tuned resource and planning skills and an ability to manage your team ensuring that they are given direction, support and that key tasks are delegated appropriately. It is important that you can fully engage, motivate and direct your team as your success will be measured by delivery against these KPI's and ultimate customer satisfaction. Experience of implementing continuous improvement initiatives and lean methodologies, and instilling this mentality among your team will form a natural part of your duties. You will be looking to add real value for this high profile client.
This is a high pressure, fast moving operation and would suit an ambitious, forward thinking and dynamic individual who has a real focus on the customer. This drive and hunger to fulfil to your customer's expectations (yet being able to challenge in the right way) will be at the forefront of everything you do. As a natural leader, you will possess excellent communication skills, have a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy finding resolution to issues that you identify as impacting on achieving business goals and objectives. It is essential that you are incredibly client focused, have managed large, demanding accounts previously and are skilled at developing this type of relationship.
