A leading packaging and distribution business has an opportunity for a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to join their team in the Leicestershire area. This is an exciting time to join the company as they continue to win new contracts and expand their portfolio.
The position would either suit a transport / logistics professional who enjoys managing commercial fleet and van records ensuring they are up to date and in line with DVSA guidelines and budgetary requirements, or an experienced driver or vehicle technician with transport office experience. In either case a Class 1 license will be essential.
The company will provide the necessary on-going training and support and for the right candidate they will support in the attainment of your CPC (if you do not already possess this).
Duties will extend to weekly fleet checks and ensuring all commercial fleet have O-license and plating certificates in place, keeping the service board service sheet up to date, controlling diesel stocks and monitoring fuel receipts, ensuring that vehicle fleet cleaning is being carried out satisfactorily, checking on the pricing of the service provider, carrying out driver license checks, and an assessment drive with every driver once a year for FORS purposes, using the tachofresh system to monitor drivers hours and infringements, visiting other sites when required, filing weekly driver defect reports, maintaining the spares stock and monitoring accidents via HDD and CCTV systems.
It is essential that, as an individual, you have good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ideally have driver assessment knowledge (certificates desirable) and are capable of prioritising a busy workload.
