A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance and Operations/Administration Manager (with a solid Logistics/3PL background) to join a world-class logistics and distribution business on a full time, permanent basis in the Northamptonshire region. This is a truly exciting time to join the company, recognised as one of the top 10 global logistics providers, as they continue to successfully expand their portfolio of clients.

The position is a significant appointment for the organisation, and can offer the right individual opportunity to develop into further senior and general management positions. Initially reporting into the GM, your remit will cover the financial and administrative management for a 600,000 sq ft site which has a P&L revenue turn over of £18M. This includes three key accounts for the business each with their own independent admin team covering order processing, customer service, customer KPI reporting and invoicing functions.

In addition to identifying key continuous improvement initiatives, and working closely with the contract managers to implement improvements to drive service and profitability, you will need to have management experience working with sizeable accounts on a large 3PL site.

The financial management function will be critical in this role as you will provide financial/administration guidance to the management team, work with the GM's and Branch Management to prepare budgets and forecasting, measure and report on operational and financial KPI's and make recommendation for improvement. You will also ensure accurate and timely preparation of management accounts for interpretation by financial and non-financial management on weekly/monthly/ad-hoc basis.
