Barker Ross Health & Social care currently recruiting for Nursing Home Deputy Manager based in Nottinghamshire.

Our client is nationwide provider of Nursing & Residential Care Homes; they are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager for one of their Nursing Homes based in Nottingham.

The Home is a 50 bedded Home and it provides care and support to people who are Elderly and Frail, living with Dementia and who need Nursing Care.

As the Deputy Manager you will be working very closely with Registered Manager and the current staffing team which is in place and you will play a vital role in delivering a high quality service and developing our staff team.

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership of the administration, care, and nursing and people management functions of the home, including catering, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance. You will participate in team working towards maintaining the independence, dignity, privacy, choice, fulfilment and personal identity of each client, leading to a fuller lifestyle where practicable.

The home is purpose home which is split in to 3 sections, to allow the staff team to deliver individualized person centred care.

Below is a brief list of roles which you will be undertaking on a daily basis, but there will be more:

  • Assist in completing the staffing rota's
  • Completing audits on the paperwork within the home
  • Mentoring Junior staff
  • Liaising with external stake holders
  • Supervising Nursing staff
  • Delivering the highest standard of person centred at all times
  • Participating in the On- Call rota

The ideal candidate for the Deputy Manager position you will need to be:
A Registered Nurse with valid NMC PIN number
Experience in working with Dementia, Elderly and Nursing Care.
Previous experience in working in a Nursing Home setting
Experienced in leading a shift.
Someone who is willing to undertake the QCF Level 5 in Social Care Management.
Ideally based in Nottinghamshire, but this is not essential
A car driver with access to own vehicle
