Depot General Manager (Chesterfield)

Job Description

One of the leading providers of Food Supply Chain Solutions (3PL) has an exciting opportunity for a Depot General Manager to join their team in the Chesterfield area on a full time, permanent basis.

You will report directly to the Head of Warehousing, where you will take full accountability, providing direction to manage and monitor all departments and shifts, ensuring the completion of all daily functions in compliance with the company H&S Procedures and Working Procedures. You will maintain the team relationship within the depot and the companies centralised functions.

The ideal candidate for this fantastic opportunity will have manged and led teams within temperature controlled distribution operations and thrive in both the pace and variety of challenges presented in this field.

You will have demonstrated abilities in controlling costs, maximising efficiency and productivity and leading teams from the front. As a person, you will be able to support your direct and indirect team development, coaching and motivating others to become better leaders.

The Depot General Manager will be able to lead teams through a combination of metrics and personality; helping direct reports create a results driven, service-centric environment which takes real pride in striving for continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will possess commercial and financial flair, possess excellent organisational and planning skills and be extremely effective within all forms of communication. You will offer good analytical and numerical skills, have experience of being customer facing and also have an ability to manage change and lead by example. Flexibility to change and to go the extra mile to meet customer and company requirements is essential. You will also be PC Literate, particularly with Microsoft Office and have a good understanding of WMS systems.

Salary for this fantastic opportunity is negotiable working Monday to Friday, with flexibility at the needs of the business.
