Job Description

A well respected and established supply chain and distribution business has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional within the transport sector who is looking to take that next important career step in the capacity of Customer Services Executive. You will join an expanding, dynamic business in the Birmingham region that will develop and support your career aspirations within logistics. This is a great role for an ambitious individual to join this progressive business which has experienced year on year growth.

It is essential however, that you have container experience, either in a transport company at a shipping line, or at a freight forwarding business and are either looking to further develop your career within customer services, or are looking for a slight career change into customer services, yet still utilise your container knowledge/experience gained in a freight forwarding environment.

You will enjoy the buzz of a busy transport environment and variety of duties. You will engage with personnel at all levels of the business, building professional relationships as well as identifying areas for continuous improvement. A major part of your remit will be to act as the customer liaison point of contact, interfacing with the customers on a daily basis as you will be based within the customer's offices. It is essential therefore that you are confident, highly professional, possess superb communication skills and can develop and maintain positive relationships. Client engagement skills and a pro-active, "can-do" attitude as well as a willingness to do what it takes to deliver will be required. A strong character is also required to ensure people are accountable for their part and that tasks are completed accurately and to deadline. You will not be afraid to challenge the status quo in order to deliver to expectations.
