A well respected integrated logistics business that operates across road, sea and air on a global basis has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Customer Services & Key Accounts Manager with a transport and logistics background to join their growing team in the Northamptonshire area. This is a full time, permanent role, with opportunity for career development working Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm, with an initial requirement to also cover four hours on Saturday morning, one week in four.
The position would suit an individual who comes from a logistics background and has managed a small office team (three office personnel) across diverse account management functions including customer service, client liaison, order placing, progress chasing and problem solving. In addition, you will manage the team with respect to their daily duties and this will also include PA duties, filing, payroll, data input and liaison with drivers and the transport team.
It is essential that you have an ability to build exceptional relationships with your high profile customers and demonstrate a real passion in delivering to their expectations. The role will at times be challenging, demanding and highly pressured, but it will also provide variety, autonomy and a great platform from which to develop your career. This is a unique role that combines both your Customer Services Management experience as well as your Operational Logistics expertise.
You will need to demonstrate bags of common sense, retain a professional, diplomatic approach (with a sense of humour), be able to pick things up quickly, think on your feet and be strong minded with a strength of character whilst retaining a positive attitude at all times. PC literacy and high standards of professionalism will be required.
