City Manager- Poole

Job Description

City Manager - Poole - student accomodation, £30,000 per annum, 40 hours per week


You will have a great opportunity to work for a large organisation who have a large group of companies and are currently growing. You will work for the student accomodation arm of the organisation and be responsible for managing the operations of the cities residential services for students.

Job Role

You will be responsible for managing the ops teams with the aim of developing and maintaining the quality of services for the students in residence.

You will be responsible for health and safety and compliance - ensuring at all times that regulations. policy and procedure are adhered to. You will be leading FM activity ensuring personal development and staff objectives are hit.

You will liaise with university staff and external partners and agencies. You will be responsible for SLA's, financial protocol and complaints process.

You will be a key figure in the city strategies and to be the lead in operationsand to lead the team by example and promoting the brand acros the city and providing a quality customer experience.


You will be experienced/be capable in the following areas:

  • Functional expertise - e.g budgeting, target, KPI management, SLA's, understanding of the student accomodation market
  • Line management
  • Financial accumen
  • Attention to detail
  • customer service

You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in a similar role and in a first line management role, in the facilities management sector. You will be experienced in and aware of health and safety operations, policy and procedure and be capable of creating and working to business plans.

You will desirably be experienced in student living and worked in the student accomodation sector and have a full driving licence and use of a car. You will be computer literate and capable of using the major software packages.
