A forward-thinking storage, distribution and order processing business that provides a wide range of fulfilment services for a variety of national and multi-national clients throughout the UK and globally, has an opportunity for an ambitious, hard-working and dynamic Business Development Executive to join their team in the Bedford region on a full time, permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opening for a Sales Executive / Business Development Professional who really wants to develop their sales career with a supportive and successful business that truly values the contribution that each of their employees make. You will relish the opportunity to learn and develop your sales skills, working very much in a consultative, collaborative way with your client base, getting to understand their requirements through listening to what they need and providing a value added service for them. Ultimately you will have a clear focus on meeting sales targets, acquiring new clients and increasing top-line revenue growth. You will already have some experience within a sales environment (probably from the service sector such as banking, insurance, recruitment etc…) and be familiar with prospect identification (cold-calling) and lead generation. Full training however will be given to ensure that you are conversant in communicating the diverse, complex services that the business provides to a range of customers from e-commerce start ups to multi-national blue-chip organisations.

As an individual you will be naturally inquisitive, resourceful and persistent, with the tenacity to engage with and pursue clients to a successful conclusion, sometimes over long periods of time. It is a question of rapport building, establishing professional relationships and NOT about the hard-sell. You will ask intelligent questions in order to understand the key drivers behind the decision to select a service partner.
