Adaptations Surveyor (£30,000 to £33,000 dependant on experience)
You will be working for a large social housing organisation giving you an ideal opportunity to enhance your career and CV
You will be responsible for providing advice to the HIA's clients with regard to proposed adaptations, prepare specifications and technical drawings and arrange estimates for the HIA's contractors.
You will manage adaptation works, monitoring work on site and carry out post completion inspections.
You will visit clients in their own homes and assess the adaptations work required, having regard to the clients choice and the needs of the property.
You will provide detailed technical advice to the HIA's occupational therapists with regard to the feasibility of proposed work.
You will carry out risk assessments with regard to demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the needs of disabled people particularly with regard to adaptations and how Disabled Facilities Grants can be used to enable disabled people to live safely and well in their own homes
You must have experience of delivering adaptations for disabled people gained through work with a home improvement agency or other housing agency (e.g. local authority or Housing Association)
