Our client is an established calibration and repair service company supporting engineering clients in a variety of sectors.

Due to continued success they are now looking to recruit a Workshop Assistant on a Temporary - Permanent basis based from their Leicester site.

The Workshop Assistant is a varied role and typical duties include: degreasing of engineer's gauges prior to calibration, cleaning of all instruments prior to despatch back to customers including electrical safety (PAT) testing as applicable, this will include cleaning and preparation of electrical test equipment, torque wrenches, pressure instruments, temperature measuring instruments and a wide variety of engineer's gauges ready to be returned including correct labelling, responsibility for weekly cleaning of company vehicles, taking them to be washed plus vacuuming/cleaning the interiors, cover for van driver at times of leave/sickness

Working Hours are Monday to Thursday - 8.00am to 5.00pm and Friday - 8.00am to 1.00pm

The ideal Workshop Assistant will have previous experience within the calibration industry but not essential as full in house training will be given to the successful applicant, the ability to maintain an excellent quality standard and attention to detail at all times with repetitive tasks, be a team player while also being able to work off their own initiative, and have Full driving license and the confidence to drive various size vans (must be over 25 years old for insurance purposes)
