Warehouse Manager

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join a growing, and successful warehousing business in West Yorkshire with specialism in cable management distribution to electrical wholesalers for the building and construction industry.

It is essential that you have a track record in warehouse management and ideally are experienced in start-up operations as you will be given full autonomy to manage the site as you see fit. This will include a significant input into layout, design, recruitment of your team and their on-going management and training.

Critical for this role, is your own drive and commitment into ensuring this operation is a success, but it really is an ideal opportunity to make a mark for yourself, and certainly to put your stamp on the site and influence how the business is ran. You genuinely can make the job your own.

Among your duties, will be responsibility for managing all on-site stock, storage and health and safety. As the team grows (with your input), you will lead, train and develop them through an engaging and motivational management style. In addition to managing KPI's in respect of delivery, quality, productivity and cost, you will have sound appreciation of stock management and the efficient storage and distribution of goods. You will oversee elements of the transport operation so an understanding of logistics, and sound geographical knowledge would be a huge advantage.

You will possess excellent communication and organisational skills and not be afraid of rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in. This will be a very hands-on, leading from the front type of position.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business and to really put a stamp on shaping their on-going success.

Salary for this opportunity is c£30K-£32K plus pension, 25 days holiday, and discretionary bonus.
