Warehouse Administrator

Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for a high calibre Warehouse Administrator to join a hugely successful warehousing and distribution business in Kettering on a full time, permanent basis (Mon to Fri). You will join a friendly and busy team and provide essential support to the smooth running of the department through your planning, attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

You will have gained previous administrative experience within the warehousing and distribution sector and be keen to apply your knowledge and expertise in a new environment. Perhaps you are looking for that next step up or are looking for that next challenge in a new environment.

It goes without saying that you will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, have an excellent telephone manner and a keen eye for detail. You will be PC literate, have a passion for delivering an exceptional level of customer service and an ability to build and develop long term, professional business relationships - this is key, as you will take responsibility for managing and liaising with one of the company's key clients being their port of call for progress statuses and other relevant updates. It is important that you have good knowledge of SAP.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Dealing with inbound and outbound calls.
  • Dealing with all the office administration and warehousing and logistics functions.
  • Data entry and updating the systems and keeping all documentation up to date and organised.
  • Dealing with stock operations.
  • Working as part of a busy team and working to set deadlines, often under pressure
  • Coordinating transportation details and advising on any delays or problems that may arise.
  • Dealing with the complaints and customer queries.
  • Liaising between the hauliers, suppliers and customers.

The culture within the group is "to make things happen" from both customers' requirements, through to supporting the development of all staff.

Salary for this opportunity is up to £25K
