Transport Coordinator

Job Description

A well respected integrated logistics business that operates across road, sea and air on a global basis has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join their growing team in the Daventry area on a full time, permanent position.

This position will be a new position and you will be responsible for managing one of our clients' new customer.

The successful candidate must have a Groupage background, specifically in transport and 3PL. It is essential that you possess excellent geographical knowledge. You will also need to fully understand the UK transport network as you will be creating collections and liaising with the traffic department.

Effectively the role is traffic, bookings, data entry and exposure to Customer Service so you must be confident at taking and making calls to suppliers and the clients.

The successful candidate will also need to be proficient in the Microsoft packages including Excel and Word. You will also need to have experience in Import and Export documentation for Customs clearance including the Standard T1 Docs etc.

It would be a significant advantage if you already possess experience with SGA NET, TRANSICS tracking system and GSN tracking system.

Our client is looking for someone with years of experience and a transport professional that can work autonomously.

As you will be required to travel to another site on occasions for additional training, you must be flexible to travel and be the owner of your own transport.

Our client is looking for a self-starter, who works hard and offers a great personality. You will be to flexible in your approach to overtime and additional working hours when required (including weekends, if required at the needs of the business).

The working hours will be Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm.

Salary is £21k plus company benefits including a pension.
