Transport Administrator

Job Description

Our client within the waste management sector based in Lincoln, is currently seeking a Transport Administrator to join their team as soon as possible.

The role will be recruited on a temporary to permanent basis, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (there is flexibility to start between 6am-8am each day) with a pay rate of £12.00 per hour.

Previous transport experience would be preferable however, this is not an essential requirement. We are looking for a strong administrator who will be able to pick up the majority of the tasks with assistance from the current team in place.

Duties of the role will include: -

  • Call handling - liaising with customers and/or the internal call centres and drivers
  • Daily debrief of drivers - assisting with confirmation of work plus dealing with any issues
  • Liaising with the customer service department and/or direct with customers to resolve issues, including any hazards identified by drivers
  • Order processing and confirmation
  • Running and clearing daily reports
  • Other administrative tasks

The successful candidate should have strong communication skills in writing, on a one to one basis and via the phone with all levels including management, team members and internal/external customers. They must also be computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel).
