Supported Housing Worker - Substance Misuse / Mental health

Job Description

Our client is a large charity and housing association that support people overcoming drug and alcohol problems. They provide residential, prison, community and specialist services.

Position Available: Supported Housing Worker - Lewisham, Permanent, 37.5 hours, £24,634pa including London weighting.

Role Purpose:

To work as part of a team to team to develop and maintain high quality supported accommodation services for individuals working towards recovery from drug and alcohol use. To participate in psychologically informed approach to service delivery, ensuring the service operates in a responsive and dynamic way to the presenting needs of the service users. To ensure the accommodation is maintained to a high standard of repair and provides a safe and welcoming space for those who live and work there. To ensure services are delivered in accordance with contract requirements, organisational policy and regulatory standards.

Experience required:

  1. Experience of working in services with people with support needs related to alcohol/substance misuse and mental health.
  2. Ability to manage a case load of individuals with presenting support needs
  3. Ability to work with individuals to develop clear time framed action plans that support progress towards goals
  4. Experience of working in partnership with other organisations
  5. Demonstrable experience of working as part of a team to deliver a high quality service
  6. Ability to work with service users to develop workable risk management plans and to adopt a non-risk averse approach to service delivery
  7. Demonstrable commitment to your own continuous professional development and that of others.
  8. Ability to manage and prioritise a diverse workload
  9. Demonstrable commitment to the values and ethos
  10. Demonstrable proficiency in using technology to record and report information.
  11. Ability to work flexibly as part of a 7 day rota covering a number of services
