Our Client:

Client is looking for a support worker who has experience with learning disabilities and Substance Misuse, however making sure that the residents in the home are supported to the way they would like to live their life. Client is based in Hampshire and is looking for reliable, experienced, caring and supportive individuals who would like to make a difference in someones life on a daily basis.

Position Available: Support Worker - Learning Disability / Substance Misuse - Hampshire

Salary: £8.21ph - £9.00ph

Role Purpose:

The ideal candidate has the ability to work individually and as part of a team.

To be able to support the residents in order to live their according to their preferences.

To be able to help with personal care as well as outdoor activities.

The ideal candidate will support service users in reaching their full potential by empowering them to fulfil their personal, social, educational & emotional needs, by providing a high standard of personalised-care and support, while respecting the dignity, independence and individuality of each person.

Experience Needed

  • Minimum 3-6 months experience in a similar setting, working with residents who suffer from learning disability and substance misuse.
  • Enhnaced DBS
  • NVQ/ Diploma 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care will be an advantage but not compulsory (further training will be provided).
  • Good communication skills, for a wide range of needs.
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • The ability to work effectively and proactively with individuals who have learning disabilities.
