Stock Control Supervisor

Job Description

Do you have experience within stock control and inventory management? Do you have some man-management experience? Do you want to join a leading logistics provider with specialisms in 3PL and Supply Chain? Do you want to develop your logistics career and be part of a friendly, dynamic team?

If, so, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an aspiring Stock Control Supervisor with expertise within the logistics sector, to join a one of the UK's leading freight forwarding businesses on a full-time permanent basis, Mon to Fri, 8.30am 5to 5.30pm. You will join the team in Corby.

You will take responsibility for stock integrity and its allocation into the appropriate locations. You will ensure that robust processes are in place, (and improved as necessary with a constant eye on continuous improvement initiatives). You will also take responsibility for a team of two Stock Controllers, allocating and managing workloads, and ensuring that work is completed to deadline. The position however is very hands-on, so you will be working alongside your team.

It is important that you are a relationship builder and excellent communicator as you will interface with the whole warehouse team including the shop floor workers and Team Leaders. You will need experience within a similar Stock and Quality environment and be familiar with WMS. You will also hold MHE licences. As an individual, you will have personal drive to develop the role and ambition to progress your career, but this is a very good platform to develop into further man-management opportunities.

It is essential that you are an accurate, detail focused worker who is meticulous in ensuring duties are carried out with a right first-time mentality. The client is looking for someone that wants to take ownership of this role, make it their own and is passionate about delivering a first-class service.

This is a fast-paced environment and it is equally important that you can react promptly and with confidence to ad-hoc requests and organisational demands.
